Current Patch |
The departments Current patch was designed
by the late Felix Tartalone in 1991 at the request of
his brother, Casper Tartalone who was Mayor at the time.
Felix was an art teacher at Homer Center High School
for 35 years and a life long resident of Homer City.
The building on the bottom of the patch is the oldest
building in the Borough of Homer City and is currently
the Savings and Trust Bank. The building in the background
is the Homer City Generating Station which is a coal
based generating plant that encompasses the tallest
smoke stack in the United States.
