It shall be unlawful for any person to place grass, leaves, shrubbery, tree limbs and/or branches on to any Borough Street.
Any person found in violation of this Ordinance shall be issued a citation and pay a fine in the amount of $50 for a first offense and $100 for a second or subsequent offense. This offense shall constitute a summary offense.
ORDINANCE 491
Every property owner fronting upon or alongside any street or alley in the Borough is to trim all trees planted or growing upon that property or upon the sidewalk area adjacent to that property so that no part of the tree, or its branches or foliage shall be closer than 15 feet above the surface of the roadway of the street or nine feet above the surface of the sidewalk.
Every property owner in the Borough shall remove any tree, growing upon that property or upon that sidewalk area adjacent to that property, when the roots of the tree have caused any part of the sidewalk to heave up, be cracked or otherwise disturbed, and then to repair or reconstruct the sidewalk so as to place the sidewalk in proper position.
Any person who violates any provision of this ordinance shall be subject to a penalty of $300.
